Halloween

This year was the first time for the girls to trick or treat door to door. We headed over to our good friends "The Kelley's" to have pizza. The Sitton's joined us also.. Then after dinner we headed out to trick or treat around Tina's area. O'boy Eva was really into it.. She was running from house to house. We ended up walking I think a little over 2 miles..
The girls dressed up as ballerinas. I can not believe I actually got Kia's hair up in a bun.. She has so much product in that hair it stayed up even when I took the hair tie out later that night!! They both have dragonfly's in there hair..

Everyone looked very cute.. Chase and james were Nights and a dragon. And Ainsley and Ian were garden Gnomes. Very cute idea tina.. She made them by hand!! My hats off to you.. Your Awesome!!
How I love halloween!! Next year hopefully I will be ready to have our annual harvest party!!

Is it really Oct.??

It was such a sunny day we had to get out of the house and go to a park. We had found this park while driving around in the hills of Dundee. It is right by one of the 100's of winery's. I think it was by the Erath one. It was a great park. The girls had a blast with the wide open spaces and no one else was there. Just us girls. After about an hour at the park we decided to go and check out the Kiwi farm.. I did not know they had mini size kiwi's that you eat like grapes.. No fuzz on them at all.. But we decided to pick the big Kiwi's... Or should I say, the girls pointed them out and I picked them.. They also had two calfs running around the field next to us.. The girls were in heaven!!

Pumkin patch #2

Eva's preschool had a field trip to Heiser Farms this Tuesday. We got there a little early so we got to spend a lot of time petting all the animals.

Fun time with friends

I forgot to post these awhile ago. They are from about two weeks ago.. We had Gavin over and decided to do a craft.. We painted wood cats and pumkins for Halloween.

Then Kyla and Jen came over and the kids played together.
Now I just had to post this picture.. What a sad looking face.. Thank goodness the teething is finally over..

First of a few pumkin patches

We went out to Farmer Johns punkin patch this weekend after the girls got back from Grandma's.. (side note: the weekend went well.. Todd and I got a ton of stuff done.. But it was tooo short.. Next time, I say 3 days at Grandma's!!) Anyway. It was such a nice day we had to get out and do somthing.
They have a straw maze for the small kids..
Then we headed off into the corn maze.. Eva was leading the way.. We found the middle but ended up coming out the start.. Go figure.. But it was fun and it did not take too much time.
Afterwards we got the girls ice cream cones and sat out in front of store and ate them. It was a good end to a great weekend.

A weekend away!!

Ok,,, for those of you who know me well... You know it is very hard for me to let my kids go to anyones house for a few hours... let alone for a weekend.. Eva was over 2 years old before she had her first overnight trip to Grandma's.. Well the time has come for Kia to join her.. I have decided that Todd and I really, REALLY, need a weekend to ourselves.. So I called grandma and she was happy to have them come over instead of the other way around!! So now I just need to get through this week with out thinking of the 1000 ways my girls could die while they are away from me.. (again those of you who know me, know I do this!! which I hate it!!) I am going to try and keep busy this week so I wont worry about it coming up. I know once they are there I will start to relax... But I am excited to get a weekend to be able to get a few projects done that we can not seem to do with the girls around. Maybe go to the movies sat. night... ohhhhhhh.... that would be nice..
Pray for me that I have no panic attacks this week leading up to the weekend.. I want to be at peace with it.. I know... I can type all I want.. but I will have a hard time doing it!!

Saturday

Grandma decided to come on over and bring Beauty back.. (our dog) So we all decided to take a trip to IKEA.. We have never been before and I wanted to go soooooo bad... So we packed up and headed off. We got there and Eva wanted to go into the play area.. she didnt even think twice.. I am sure she made a new "best friend" in seconds.. She got to stay in there for a full hour while we roamed around and looked at everything. We decided to go and have lunch upstairs, we were all in line just about to order the famous meatballs when some loud alarm went off. Lights were flashing everywhere.. The lunch staff just looked around at each other like lost puppies.. I was thinking to myself.." this place better not be on fire"!! then in about 3 minutes they start to announce everyone must leave the building, they are having tech. problems. as were were walking out... everyone was leaving there lunches everywhere... I so badly wanted to snag a meatball off someones plate.. LOL but I resisted the urge!! after we got outside we called it quits and headed to portland. Sooooo sad... maybe next time I will get to try the meatballs!!
We ended up eating at a little BBQ place off of MLK. We eat there when ever we get a chance. It has great food.. And for some reason I am blanking on the name.. Russell street BBQ... maybe.. ??
We headed on downtown Portland after lunch.. We jumped on the max to ride fairless square with the girls.. they have never been on max before... They enjoyed it. Eva loved standing up on the way back.

Saturday market

After the Max ride we got off at Portland's Saturday market.. The girls have never been down there and it has been forever for Todd and I.. I am pretty sure the last time was when Todd's mom was still alive in 1999. It has been far too long. We walked around. Eva enjoyed the "acts" that were all around. They have grown in that area.. It used to be just "granite man" but now they had atleast 5 that day.
Eva put some money in the box and the lady started to come to life.. Scarred Eva to death!!
They both got to have there face painted..
This would be a before picture.. in about 5 seconds Kia splashes the entire back of the lady in blue.. She needed to cool off I guess!! LOL
All in all it was a great day spent with Grandma..

Potty training. Kinda..

We decided to buy Kia a potty this week, just so she could start getting used to seeing it. She has been sitting on the big potty here and there. We got it on Monday and Kia and Todd put it together Tuesday afternoon. Todd said she could not wait to use it.. It was bearly put together when he turned around and she had all her clothes off ready to sit on it.. So tonight when we got home from Dylans Birthday party we asked if she wanted to sit on it before bedtime and she did.. And what do you know.. she went pee!! yippeeeee...
Today we also went swimming and if you look close you can see her big fat lip!! She bit the pavement in the dressing room. Thank goodness it was from a sitting postion. :( Poor girl.

Scholastic book order

Ok.. so,, I was taken waaaaay back when I saw this in Eva's backpack from preschool.. I sooooo remember these from when I was in school.. I did not know they still did this!! I was very happy to see that they do..
We ordered a pack of four books that are from the "What and how do dinasaours do things" books. We had checked on out at the Library and Eva and Kia loved it. So I was glad to see that they had those in here.
