Depot Bay

We went on a mini vacation this weekend to our time share resort in Depot Bay. This is the first time we have been able to book a condo here! But is was worth the wait and the five days of calling to book a condo. We could not have asked for a more perfect weekend.

This was our view from out patio. Were were on the ground floor, but that was ok. We still had a great view.

This is what the place looked like inside. We only had a two bedroom but it was still bigger than the Seaside Resort we usually stay at.

Pool Time

Swimming time. We swam all three days. Eva loves to swim. Kia was not sure about it the week before last when I took them both to the public pool in Mac. But once she got used to the water the first night we were there at Depot Bay she was ok with swimming.

Eva is doing great in the pool. She can swim all around all by herself... that is... as long as she has her floaty's on.

Kia loved to go up and down the stairs.

And then she started jumping into Daddy's arms.. She is a pool baby now! :)

Newport

Grandma came up and made waffles bright and early Saturday morning. Then we headed off to Newport Saturday morning to go see the sea lions. They were sleeping... How dare they! No honking of any kind.

Then Grandma decided to treat us to the Newport Aquarium! We got to see a little of the Sea lions getting feed. After that they were very active in the pool.

The octopus was moving all about. Never have I seen one doing this. It was opening up and closing and just moving all around the tank.

Water. Water. Were there is water... Kia's hand is there.

Glass blowing in Lincoln City

We got to watch a girl blow a bowl! It took a long time and we did not get to watch the entire thing! The girls were getting restless and they wanted to head to the beach.

But what we did see what amazing.

It was not fully done yet, but atleast we got to see this much. Off to the beach we go!

Time at the beach

We could not have asked for a better afternoon to spent on the beach. There was NO wind! It was perfect

Kia was not sure of the sand at first. But then once we took of her shoes and dug her feet in she liked it.

Stick Girl.. She has to bring home every stick she fines

Todd and the girls digging in the sand.

Playdate with Natalie and Ryan

Today we made the trip over to Beaverton to visit our friends Ali, Natalie and Ryan. Eva, Natalie and Kia had a great time together. As you can see they have stairs at their house. Kia kept wanting to go up them. Finally I showed her how to go down them. You think I would have gotten a picture of that, but I did not :( But she learned how to go down them on her belly and her bottom.. She did great. She was going up and down them on her own by the time we left. Eva and Natalie had a great time dressing up in play clothes.

There is always time for snacks! And look at Ryan.. He is a cutie pie.. It was easy to get a picture of him smiling. And what a great smile he has!

Fun with Kyla

Today Kyla came over for the afternoon to play. I decided to do a craft I have been wanting to try with the girls. Puff paints made with self raising flour! How fun.. They really enjoyed it. They both wanted to keep painting. Of course I had to also paint one. :)

Eva was really into painting with this paste. After they were done, we stuck them in the microwave for 35 seconds and the paste puffs up and gets hard... They are fun to touch.

They display their Art with pride.

Kameo's House

We went to our friends Kameo and Ryans house to visit. They live on a few acres out in
West Lynn. The live next to a Llama farm.. So we all made the hike to see them. Kia took
a header right into some mud. Too funny.. They all loved the Llama's!
