Muffin Tin Monday!!

Ok, so I got this idea from my friend Kirstin's blog, I love blogs!! It is a great way to share. So I am hoping someone else likes this idea and tries it! This is our first monday trying it out. I found matching muffin tins for both girls. We have from left to right and down, homemade chicken nuggets on a stick, bell peppers and a mushroom, turkey and cream cheese roll up, mini calzones, strawberries, grapes, nectarine and kiwi with a fun friut dip.
I got the Chicken nuggets on a stick idea from a little cook book that Jen gave me. It is called "the kid chef"!! I think it was for a fundraiser for Kyla's preschool. So I just decided to make my own chicken fingers. It is cubed chicken breast dipped in ranch then rolled in bread crumbs.. You can use yogurt to instead of ranch, but I have always used ranch. Cook them at 350 till done about 15 minutes. Then just pop them on a stick. They come out nice and juicy. I also got the mini calzones (biscuit with pizza stuff inside, how easy is that) from the same book along with the fruit dip.. that is just 1 box cream cheese 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1tsp. vanilla. blend and chill. I did add some soy milk to make it more creamy. I thought it tasted better that way. You could add anything else to it to make it not so thick and easier to dip fruit in.
Most everything was a hit with Kiara. She loved the chicken on a stick!! She would not let go of the skewer. (which i used a square popsicle stick that I use with my baking stuff) She ate everything except the turkey roll up and the bell peppers but she did try the bell peppers over and over again and kept spitting them out!! She loved the mushroom. She even ate eva's mushroom. Oh,, the mini calzones were not a hit with the girls, but a big hit with dad who ate them all! I did not even get to taste them! The fruit dip both girls likes.
Eva was a little more picky but tried everything at least once. She loved the turkey roll ups and ended up eating Kiara's. She was not sure of the nectarine. I don't think it is the right time for nectarines, we will try those again in august when they are sweeter.
All in all it was a fun dinner. The girls loved all the different things and loved the muffin tins. Thank you Kirstin for the great idea!!

Such a big little girl!!

Kiara is no longer sitting in her high chair. She has flat out refused for the last week. So I packed it up and put it in the garage for now. Everything her big sister does she has to do.. She is so very excited at meal times, she goes running to find a big chair to sit in. So far no falls out of the chair, at least during meal time that is! :)

Zoey turns a heavenly 4!

It is so hard to believe it has been 4 years ago today that Baby Zoey was born into our lives. It sometimes seems like a lifetime ago and then some days it seems like yesterday. The days leading up and the days after her birthday are always stressful for me, but her actual birthday was a peaceful day. Todd got to stay home with us and we spent the day together.

We went out to her grave and decorated it with flowers and balloons.

Happy Birthday Sweet Baby Girl! I miss you and love you so very much. Mommy.

A.C. Gilberts

We decided to go to the A.C. Gilberts childrens museum to celebrate Zoey's birthday. The girls really enjoyed it. They loved the hands on exhibits.

They look so big now. It is hard to believe they have grown up so fast.

Eva is already an actress! Kia just played picaboo with the curtains.

I loved this statue that was right in front as we left. I had to take a picture of it. She just looks too peaceful!

The end to a great day.

We ended our day with cupcakes and cupcake pops. (which the girls love the pops!)

Dragonfly's

I was invited to a stepping stone party on the 23rd. It was the perfect thing to do the night before Zoey's 4th birthday. I have never done one of these before and really enjoyed it. Ofcourse I had to make three dragonfly's. One for each daughter! It was very peaceful to be able to do this and it really set the tone for her birthday.

Birthday cake a day late!!

OK,,, someone did not pray hard enough!! LOL Eva was sick as a dog on her birthday! She puked up and slept all day long. Poor little girl. Then I got it that day also. Just a little though.. Thank you God. But it did stop me from going outside and helping with our backyard project that my brother came over to help us with. Thanks to Todd and Matt the projects got started. And thanks to my Mom my house did not become a huge mess!! I had probably 5 loads of puke soaked laudry from both girls that my mom helped out with. She even stayed the night to help with the girls incase they did not sleep.
So Sunday night Eva got to blow out her candles! Still she did not eat any of the cake. Or any food for that matter all day. They both are still not eating a lot and it is Wed night!!

Happy Bithday Little Girl of Mine!!

Someone is turning 3!!

I took a class this week on fondant. I was very excited to try it out for Eva's Birthday tomorrow. You can't really see in these pictures but the flowers have a sparkly effect done with a powder. Not bad for my first time working with fondant. I know fondant has a bad wrap for tasting bad, but I got this really good tasting fondant from the decorette shop were I took the class. I was very shocked when I tasted it that it actually tasted good. They also have choc. fondant that I guess tastes like toostie rolls!! I will have to try that later this summer.

Now I just have to figure out what kind of design to make for her actual birthday party in two weeks!! The pressure!! LOL

Our first harvest!!

Well this is our first "harvest" of veggies. I love eating the entire pea pod raw. I can eat them like chips! They are very tasty. Eva likes to shell them and then carry the peas around in her hand. She did that last night when we picked one to see if a few were ready. Too funny. I am not sure were the peas ended up!! hmmmmm....

Ok, so I am not sure what kind of smile this is!! LOL It doesn't even look like Eva. This must be her, get it over and take the picture smile!

Sick little girl!

Look at my poor little girl! She has been sick all day long. I went into her bedroom this morning to get her and she had thrown up all over! :( I feel so bad for her. She could not keep anything down all day. After the first 4 outfits she threw up on, plus two of mine, I just gave up and kept her in just a diaper! She slept on the couch on and off all day long. She is finally asleep tonight. I am hoping now she is done throwing up. And please pray that Eva does not come down with it.. Tomorrow is her birthday and that would just be sad!!

Brown Bag Concert Time

Last Thursday we went to our first brown bag concert. We got there really early so we were able to get a table and eat our lunch. Once it started the seats filled up.

The girls got to dance around where ever they wanted to. They loved that part.
Here is Eva dancing with some girl she introduced herself to. Her new thing now is to go up to any little kid and ask " what's your name" over and over till they answer her!! After the concert we were off to the farmers market down the street. All in all it was a good day. The girls slept till 5pm that night. I did not get them home and down for a nap till 2:30! They were just warn our from the sun and long fun day.

Playtime!

This is what my girls do to entertain themselves! Not only did they strip down naked while I was not looking (a whole 15 seconds) but they decided to use the water table as a wading pool! Had to take the picture!! Way to cute. Thank God that thing is sturdy!!

First black eye!

For the longest time that morning I kept thinking she had blue ink on her eye. Nope! She had a black eye. This was the beginning of it. It looked worse two days later! Not sure where she got it. I am thinking the new outside table on the deck.

Roll making

Eva and Kia helped me make rolls today. They really like playing with the dough. They could not make up their minds on a snake or a ball.

They decided on a ball!! And I helped Eva make the heart.. I enjoy making these rolls. The rosettes are mine!! :) ~ Not bad for the second time I have made these dinner rolls. The girls loved eating them. They are great tasting rolls.
